Surveys help you create a smoother registration experience by collecting important information from players before the event starts. They can also be used to offer optional add-ons, gather player preferences, and organize tournament logistics ahead of time.

The Survey Builder uses a visual flow system, allowing you to connect questions together and create guided registration paths for players.

Accessing the Survey Builder

To access Surveys:

  1. Open your tournament or event
  2. Navigate to the Survey tab
  3. Click + Add Question to begin building your survey

Building Your Survey

Each survey question acts like a step in the registration flow.

You can:

  • Create multiple-choice questions
  • Add custom answer choices
  • Connect questions together visually
  • Create guided follow-up paths
  • Offer optional paid selections

Example survey flow:

  • Which state are you representing?
  • What is your t-shirt size?

Creating Questions

When creating a question:

  1. Enter the question title
  2. Add answer choices
  3. Save your changes

  • Do you want to purchase a tournament shirt?
  • Are you attending the social event?

Adding Answer Choices

Each question can contain multiple answer options.

Examples:

  • Yes / No
  • Small / Medium / Large
  • Beginner / Intermediate / Advanced

To add additional options:

  1. Click + Add Choice
  2. Enter the answer label
  3. Repeat as needed

Connecting Questions Together

Survey questions can be linked together visually to create a guided experience.

This is useful when:

  • You only want certain players to see specific follow-up questions
  • You want to organize registration into clear steps
  • You want to reduce unnecessary questions

Example:

  • A player selects “Yes” for Friday Open Play
  • Additional follow-up questions can appear afterward

This helps keep registration clean and easy for players.

Offering Paid Add-Ons

Surveys can also be used to offer optional purchases during registration.

Common examples:

  • Open play sessions
  • Meals or refreshments
  • Event merchandise
  • Social events
  • Training clinics

Example:

  • “Friday Open Play — Yes ($25)”

Players can select these directly during registration.

Exporting Survey Responses

Once players begin registering, survey answers can be exported for planning and operations.

To export responses:

  1. Open the Survey tab
  2. Click Export Answers

Exports are commonly used for:

  • T-shirt order counts
